Introducing HeadAlert – A New Step Forward in Player Safety

We are proud to officially launch the HeadAlert website — the new home for information about our smart, impact-sensing mouthguard designed to make contact sports safer at every level.

HeadAlert has been created with a clear mission: to give players, coaches, parents, and medics instant awareness when a potentially dangerous head impact occurs.
Unlike app-based or cloud-connected systems, the HeadAlert mouthguard works entirely on its own, using built-in sensors and three dedicated LEDs that illuminate when a high G-force impact is detected.

This makes it simple, reliable, and perfectly suited to grassroots sport, where medical staff and technology are often limited.

Why We Built HeadAlert

Head injuries are a growing concern across all contact sports. Many impacts happen off the ball or go unnoticed, and early symptoms are easy to miss. We wanted to create a solution that works anywhere — from school pitches to weekend leagues — without needing expensive equipment, mobile apps, or specialised training.

HeadAlert gives clubs a straightforward way to spot significant impacts instantly and make confident decisions about removing a player for a pitch-side assessment.

How It Works

  • A custom dentist-fit mouthguard ensures comfort and accurate sensing.
  • Built-in technology measures impacts in real time.
  • Three LEDs activate at predefined G-force levels.
  • A 5-minute reset in the charging case supports proper side-of-pitch assessment.
  • A referee/medic override key allows instant reset when appropriate.
  • The mouthguard is fully rechargeable, lasting a typical match.

All of this operates with no mobile phone, no Bluetooth, and no cloud connection — making HeadAlert affordable, robust, and easy to use.

Designed for the Real World of Sport

Whether it’s rugby, football, hockey, or martial arts, many amateur and youth teams lack access to medical staff or advanced tech. HeadAlert bridges this gap with a simple, affordable solution that enhances player welfare without changing how the game is played.

What’s Next?

Over the coming months, we’ll be:

  • sharing more details about the technology
  • working with dentists to expand our approved fitting network
  • preparing pilot programmes with clubs and schools
  • releasing updates as we move towards full availability

We’re excited to bring this innovation to the sporting community, and we welcome interest from clubs, parents, medics, leagues, and potential partners.
